292 is a copper foil tape with an electrical class F rating (155oC). This 38 micron copper foil has an acrylic thermo setting adhesive. The copper itself conducts both electricity and heat. Most commonly used for electro magnetic screening - however 292 is also used as a decorative finishing tape, slug repellant tape, and guitar tape. Versatile and affordable 292 is one of our most popular electrical grade tapes.

I purchased a 25mm x 33m roll of the 292 copper foil tape for use as shielding on a stratocaster electric guitar. This width of foil allows you to easily reach the difficult areas in the body of the guitar and in my opinion reduces waste. So far this single roll has allowed me to successfully shield no less than three guitars including the cover plates etc. I still have quite a good quantity left. The resulting silence from these notoriously noisy guitars has to be heard,or rather not heard. Top quality material and economical in the extreme, I suggest you run an ad in every guitar magazine you can find !! Thanks for a great product and excellent advice and service. Terry Wilcock
